Your Travinger eSIM “activates” the moment it connects to a network at your destination. If you installed it before you left (which we recommend), switching it on when you land takes just a few taps.
The one-minute activation
- When you arrive, take your phone off Airplane mode.
- Open your mobile-data settings and select the Travinger line as your data line.
- Turn on Data Roaming for the Travinger line. This is safe โ you’re on your Travinger plan, not your home carrier’s, so there are no roaming fees.
- Give it a moment to register on a local network. You’ll see signal bars appear.
When does my plan start?
Validity begins on that first connection at your destination โ not when you bought or installed the eSIM. That’s why installing early at home is free and stress-free.
If it doesn’t connect straight away
- Wait a couple of minutes for the network to register.
- Toggle Airplane mode on and off, or restart your phone.
- Still nothing? Turn off automatic network selection and choose a local network manually.
Keep your own number working
Your regular SIM stays active alongside the eSIM, so calls and texts to your usual number still come through. The eSIM simply handles your data.
